Did you know making a delicious loaf of 🥖 only takes 4 ingredients and some 💗? One of my friends, Amy, introduced me to a very simple recipe years ago (that I’ve tweaked slightly) and it now has become a staple in our home (when we do eat bread). During this time where many grocery stores are struggling to stay well stocked, I thought it would be good for us all to have this recipe in our back pockets.Â
Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cup warm water
1 1/4 tsp salt plus 1/8 tsp for top
1/4 tsp active yeast
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except for the 1/8 tsp salt for top
2. Cover dough in bowl using a towel draped over bowl for at least 12 hours
3. Preheat over to 500, place a Dutch oven in oven to warm up with it.
4. Dump the dough on surface and pat lightly. Fold over dough and dust with some flour with the seam side down. Sprinkle with additional 1/8 salt on top.
5. Remove heated Dutch oven from oven, add the dough and put back in oven for 25-30 minutes.
6. Remove, slice and enjoy!
