This make ahead breakfast gift is great for the holidays (or anytime you have guests staying with you) as you can make it the day before and simply heat it up in the morning. Plus it is delicious! Here is what you need and what you need to do.
Ingredients:
8oz baguette, crust removed and diced into 1 inch cubes
3 eggs
3 tbsp butter melted
2 cups whole milk
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (reserve 2 tbsp for topping)
2 tbsp jarred diced jalapeños
8 oz diced pancetta
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
Grease a 9×11 baking dish and set aside
Trim crust off the baguette and diced into 1 inch cubes
Placed cubed bread into the baking dish
In large bowl mix together all the other ingredients except for 2 tbsp of shredded cheese
Once mix well, pour the mixture over the bread. Pat down everything into the dish and top with remaining cheese
Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Bake bread pudding for 45 minutes uncovered until it becomes golden brown and you can put a knife in the center and it comes out clean. Let cool for about 5 minutes, cut into individual pieces and serve. Enjoy!
