This spicy appetizer is the perfect way to kick off any party! The garlic and red pepper flakes provide exceptional flavor and a bit of heat. Don’t like spicy just leave the red pepper flakes out.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 pounds of large shrimp prawns, shelled & deveined
- 2 tbsp EVOO
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 6 large garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley minced, divided
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
- In a large saucepan, heat up the EVOO and butter.
- Add in the garlic, 1/2 the parsley, red pepper flakes. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Next add the shrimp and sprinkle with the salt. Mix then let cook about 3 minutes a side until shrimp are completely cooked through.
- Transfer everything to a bowl, sprinkle with the remaining parsley. Serve by itself or with crispy baguette slices.
