Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — HIGHLIGHTS Women Favs
By now, you all must know that I do love a GOOD SALE! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a sale I have shopped for years to get some essentials like jeans, sneakers, jackets that are quality pieces that will last the entire year (and longer) long. This year, I am so excited about the jean selection! I will be sharing my favorites below for you along with some beautiful tops, jackets, dresses for women PLUS some of kid and mens finds that my sweet little family is loving in a separate post. So let’s dig right in…

FREE PEOPLE – Maggie Ripped Ankle Straight Leg Jeans (in Paradise Blue)
I knew I was going to love this pair of jeans when I saw it hanging on the rack because it reminds me of one of my favorite current pair of jeans which is the same cut but in a different color. I love where these jeans hit on my waist — think mid rise — and the distressed look of them. Plus I love this light washed color! They are a structured jean material so not much of a stretch which I personally like as it keeps the jean legs flowing correctly. I also really like how the ripped bottom edge goes up some in the middle to show off the perfect amount of shoe and ankle. Runs TTS, wearing my normal 26. If you are in between sizes, I do suggest sizing up since these jeans don’t have much give / stretch.

GOOD AMERICAN – Good Legs High Waist Ripped Skinny Jeans (in Indigo286)
These skinny jeans from Good American have the perfect amount of distressed if you ask me–just a little bit at the right pocket and a little on each thigh. The color is what really drew me to them though as they are a great shade of jean blue! I also really liked that they are high waisted but do have a bit of a stretch to stay comfortable on the skin. I did do a cuff at the bottom as they were a little long for me (5’4 with a long torso and shorter legs) but I am actually loving the cuff! They run a bit small so I sized up to Size 4 (normally a 2 in most clothes).

GOOD AMERICAN – Good Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans (in Black)
If you are looking for a great pair of black jeans to carry you through all fall and winter, this is the pair! I love the gap-proof contoured high waist, the exposed button fly and the little bit of stretch to the fabric to flatter every curve. They are a bit long for me but I did a cute little cuff and was ready to go!

KUT FROM KLOTH – Donna Fab Ab High Waist Raw Hem Ankle Skinny Jeans (in Whimsical)
So if you love stretchy, super comfy jeans these are the ones for you! The material feels fabulous. The whimsical color is such a pretty darker jean hue too! This pair is your traditional skinny jean look which is still my favorite for most every day looks. This pair does run TTS, wearing my normal size 2.

MOTHER – The Hustler Distressed Raw Hem (in Thrilling Shots)
These are another great pair of jeans on sale and what I love the most about them is the slightly flared raw hem line. The color is also a great shade of blue and can be dressed up or down. The are high quality and will last! I will note that they are just a bit long on me (5’4) and I will probably end up cutting them about 1/2-1 inch off so I can wear with sneakers too as I like a little bit more of an ankle exposed. They do run TTS, wearing size 26.

Let’s now talk about these 3 jacket options that are too cute as we transition into fall. Before we dive into each piece, I am wearing a great white V-neck tank from the sale (marked down to $30.80) that is beautiful, lightweight and can be worn tucked in, front tucked or left out with every jacket/sweater/kimono option. TREASURE & BOND – Border Print Duster: Already envisioning a million different ways to style this duster including as a bathing suit coverup to wear for the rest of this summer. This is a great closet piece that you can layer depending on warmth needed. You can put it over a bathing suit, wear it with a tank and jeans like I am above, put it over a dress to wear for date night, etc. It is 43″ in length so for my stunningly short gals make sure it won’t be dragging on you! CASLON – Organic Cotton Blend Cardigan: This fun aztec print open front sweater really caught my eye as I was shopping and I’m already envisioning wearing this to the ranch this September for our annual women’s retreat. I love the design and the muted grey and tan color scheme. I did size down to XS for a more fitted look (and I can still easily layer up underneath if needed). These pretty tops all speak for themselves and are different styles based off what you are drawn too. Things to know though…
They all run TTS except for the 1st Farm Rio blouse (that one I sized down 1 size to XS – I do tend to have to usually size down 1 size in the Farm Rio brand so it isn’t surprising that I had to on this blouse). The Open Edit Sweater in the 3rd photo is a medium warmth and super cozy, if you wanted a more fitted look you could size down but I prefer wearing my normal size small in it. The Free People bodysuit in Raspberry (4th photo) is also available in 2 other colors – chambray blue and black.
