We love hosting during Christmas time! There is nothing better than getting together with family and friends to celebrate the reason for the season and just slow down for a moment during the holiday hustle and bustle. Every year for our annual Christmas party I make a theme holiday cocktail. This year I decided to amp it up by creating an experience to go along with the delicious drink.
The cocktail itself is a light, slight sweet drink with notes of lemon and rosemary (perfect for this time of year) but the real winner may be how it was served. I order these amazing plastic Christmas light bulbs to hold the cocktail before the guests then poured it over some fancy homemade fruit infused ice cubes. Check out the video and all the details below (with shopping links for everything).

Now these are so fun to make a huge batch and use all holiday season long as they go in pretty much every drink — even a fun way to spruce up water!
What you need:

Orange peels, frozen cranberries, rosemary (you can fancy it up with whatever you would like)
All is Bright Cocktail Recipe
This cocktail is light and fresh with just a touch of sweetness which is perfect this time of year when there are so many super sweet and heavy desserts on the horizon. I highly suggest making your own (super easy to do) rosemary simple syrup for this recipe. It can be made in a few minutes by simply heating up 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of water & placing a rosemary sprig over medium heat for about 10 minutes (making sure sugar is completely dissolved and stirring occasionally).
Ingredients (makes 4 cocktails):
8 oz vodka (I suggest Kettle One)
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 oz rosemary syrup
4 oz club soda
How to Serve
So besides these cocktails being delicious, the presentation is sure to be a show stopper. I served them plastic lightbulb ornaments sitting in beautiful glassware. Link to glassware HERE, link to lightbulb ornaments HERE. Next to these set up glasses I placed the festive ice cubes in a ice pail. The guests then put their ice cube in their glasses and poured the drink over them. They were a HUGE hit!
