All Things Valentine’s

I love anytime we can celebrate LOVE! A day just for you to be a blessing to tell your loved ones “I love you” in so many different ways and forms–I’m all in! From waking up to heart shaped pancakes to thoughtful gifts picked out to hugs and snuggles all days and tons of “I LOVE YOU!!!”s this day is amazing! Below is what I am doing this year.

We love to start the day with heart shaped pancakes (I use a silicone heart shape cookie cutter to make ours). This easy recipe is sure to be a family favorite especially for you as it is so easy to make.

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 c flour
• 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
• 1/4 c granulated sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• 1 egg
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 1/4 c whole milk

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
2. Heat a large frying pan, add butter.
3. Make individual pancakes, leaving space in between.
4. Once the one side starts to bubble and make pin sized holes then flip and cook for a few more minutes on the other side.
5. Serve warm with syrup and fresh fruit.
