Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.
2. In a dutch oven, cook 2 slices of bacon until crispy. Remove for pan.
3. In a shallow dish dust the short ribs with the flour and 1/2 tsp salt. Tap off excess flour mixture. Add short ribs to bacon grease and brown each side.
4. Once browned, remove short ribs and add in onions, carrots, garlic and spices. Cook until translucent.
5. Add in wine to deglaze the pan, scrapping all the bits up into the mixture. Then pour in beef broth and let simmer for 5 minutes.
6. Add back in the short ribs. Place lid on dutch oven and place it in the oven to cook for 2 hours on 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then reduce heat to 325 degrees and cook for an additional 45 minutes.
7. Remove dutch oven from the oven and let cool for 20 minutes. Then take a turkey baster or label and suck/spoon off the fat off the top of the mixture. Serve short ribs over creamy grits with a side of garlic green beans. Bon Appetit!
