Accommodations:

So let’s start with what their accommodations are like; this working ranch offers gorgeous cabins and rooms that are outfitted in true Western Fashion. Most of the lumber was pulled from the property–how neat! The authentic feel of this place is incredible with a touch of luxury. The beds are very comfortable, the amenities are fabulous and I love that the cabins/rooms all have a fireplace as well as a porch. It’s beyond dreamy! Each room also has a coffee bar area as well as you are about to have the best toffee in your life that will be waiting for you when you arrive to your living quarters for the duration of your stay. The bathroom is well equipped and decorated with gorgeous copper sinks. Another awesome thing about their accommodations that based on your family’s size they can put you in a specific cabin.

This last trip out we stayed in the Spring Cabin (east & west) and it was perfect for 2 couples.

The Activities:

I don’t even know where to begin here as the activities are plentiful and the staff running the outpost is not only highly skilled but truly aims to make each experience perfect for you. Here’s a list of just some of the amazing on ranch activities:

We went horseback riding every single day. I rode a sweet horse named Chet. That is one of the really unique things about this ranch–at the beginning of the stay you are designated a horse which is then yours until you leave. Each day one of the wranglers and/or ranch hands gets your horse suited up for you to ride so you can simply just jump on and go explore. The wranglers are a ton of fun, all very experienced with horses and the trails, and will give you a wonderful experience you will be telling your friends/family about for years. A few other amazing experiences we took advantage of this trip — guided fly fishing (our guide Taylor was the absolute best!!! They also have grab and go fly fishing gear for those that want to explore the river alone), mountain biking (you can chose a guided tour like my advanced bike riding hubby did to really explore the mountain or a leisurely ride through the mountain by jumping on one of their grab and go bikes like I did), hiking, archery, trap shooting, hatchet throwing (sooooo fun, this is a must do as I haven’t laughed this hard in years!) AND the spa — we will have a whole section about this because WOW!.

The Kids Program

I have not taken advantage of this amazing opportunity yet with my kiddos but I have heard from tons of previous guests and current kid counselors that this is the best kid program hands down if you want to see your kids some but let them truly experience the ranch life and you experience the adult aspect of it at the same time. Basically it is like sending your kid off to summer camp with you also being on property. You will have breakfast, lunch and after dinner activities together but otherwise they are with other kids experiencing all the ranch has to offer. You of course can do family horseback rides together etc if you want but I have a feeling your kids are going to be begging to stay int he kids camp.

Counselors supervise every age-appropriate activity (from horseback riding to pool time to a game and the Kids Corral) and are with the kids throughout the day. No matter where your child is, he or she will have a counselor nearby. The Teen Program even includes supervised trips, such as overnight camping, whitewater rafting and heading off-ranch to visit a local rodeo.
