“WOW!” “Mom, look that’s why I drew!” “Can you believe it, I’m an artist!” Those were just a few words of exclamation my sweet kiddos said when their keepsakes from Display My Art arrived this week. Their pure joy was unmatchable!
Needless to say, this momma’s heart is exploding as nothing is better than seeing your own kiddos elated! This was by far the favorite thing I have done with my girls and process was beyond easy. I seriously suggest each and everyone of you give it a whirl. With Father’s Day fast approaching this would be such the perfect gift to give too!
Ready for something super cool too–if you wanted to help your school raise money this is a great way to do it! The process is the same except when each family goes to order their products a percentage goes back to the school. What a great way to actually buy personalized keepsakes for your family and support their school. AND Display My Art provides all the materials to create the masterpieces. For more on this click here.
Step 1: Go to www.displaymyart.com and GET INSPIRED! They have tons of example artwork to give you ideas of what your kids can create. Just scroll down to the RESOURCES area at the bottom and click “Art Project Ideas.” My 4 year old chose a beautiful flower print while I had to get creative with a handprint turtle design for my 2 year old.
Step 2: Under the RESOURCES tab on the website, you will want to click on “Paper Template” and print this so you have guidelines for your creation. Make sure to put your child’s name and age in the appropriate fields. It is important to have a colorful background–the less white the better as it will make your creation more dramatic!
Step 3: Creation of masterpieces–grab your paint, markers, crayons etc and have your child(ren) start making their artwork. If you have a younger child like my 2 year old you will need to assist in either outlining object, painting hands for handprint designs etc.
Step 4: Let your projects dry completely and then email off to Display My Art for them to work the magic on their end. You will be amazed how FAST they work (seriously I’m mind blown!) ! Within a few days, we received an email stating our artwork was ready to view.
Step 5: Log on to the website and check out your child’s artwork created into amazing products–keepsake boxes, necklace pendants, coffee mugs, bags, towels, you name it they have it! I love that this is a secured site as well, to view your kid’s artwork you have log on credentials. I highly suggest showing your kiddos this part and letting them see their artwork come to life. Even my 2 year was screaming and jumping with pure joy. My 4 year thought she was famous (lol! SOOO CUTE) with her artwork on “the computer!”
Step 6: Unbox your keepsakes! We decided on getting keepsake boxes for each girl so they can put their “treasures” in it and then a necklace for my eldest and a coffee mug for a Father’s Day gift! As you can see in this clip my girls were on cloud 9 seeing their artwork as products!
