These cookies seriously get devoured usually within 2 hours and have rarely seen 🎄 day BUT this year I have them hidden so there’s hope 😜
Here’s what you need—> Sleeve and half of saltine crackers (with salt) 1 cup light brown sugar 1 cup salted butter 2 cups chocolate chips (any flavor you want–we always do milk chocolate batch and white chocolate batch) Spray butter/oil Toppings: pecans pieces, coconut shavings, peppermint (you name it, you can add it)
Directions—>
Line baking sheets with tin foil and spray with spray butter. Warm oven to 350 degrees
Place saltine crackers salt side up across the cookie sheet, make sure they don’t double up
In a saucepan, heat butter and brown sugar. Bring to to boil and let it boil for 3 minutes. Do not stir.
Pour 🧈 and sugar mixture over saltines. They may float, that’s fine
Put in oven for 5 minutes; it may boil in oven which is all good
Add chocolate chips and place back in oven for 2 minutes
Using a spatula smooth chocolate over saltines, add toppings and place in cold fridge for about 40 minutes or until chocolate hardens
Using your hands break up the toffee yummy-ness into bite size pieces
