In June, my gfs and I took a little Girls Trip to the Florida Keys so we could refuel, recharge and spend some quality time together without our hubbies and kiddos (and let me tell you it was just what was needed!). We found the most charming Florida Keys style sanctuary and are already dreaming about bringing the whole family back!
The Layton Estate https://www.instagram.com/thelaytonestate?stkn=N3pxd3VlcWJvdWx3 not only screams old Florida with its pink theme house but truly feels incredible private with its unobstructed views of the gulf side of the ocean and the private drive out on a peninsula like feel tucked away area. This rental home not only has everything you need inside the home but literally everything you could want outside and in the surrounding areas.

This beautiful Keys property can hold up to 10 comfortably sleeping and has 3 designated bedrooms plus a bonus sleeping area off the master suite. The house also has 4 bathrooms (one a cabana bath that you access from outside when lounging by the pool, coming back from kayaking and or eating al fresco). The interior was all recently remodeled too!
Plus the owner, Linda, is an absolute sweetheart and really goes above and beyond for you before and during your stay. Linda left no details untouched and we were welcomed by a personalized welcome sign, a binder full of everything we possibly could need to know and a perfectly cleaned home. She even gifted us the most delicious pumpkin bread that I still dream about.
Fun Fact: Linda’s grandparents actually started the town of Layton! She is actually working on getting a book reprinted about the history (I read some of the original one below 🙂 )

The Amenities
So let’s talk about the property details…
Not only is there a dock where you can have your boat and jet skis during your trip but there are also 2 kayaks on premise that you can use whenever you would like. Plus a kayak launch to make it easy for you to get them in the water. There is also a private pool surrounding by beautiful tropical plants and a tiki hut that you can grill under and hang out. My favorite spot may have been the hammock looking out over the water (did I mention the unobstructed view — no houses or businesses blocking you!).
The property is very kid friendly to with rafts for the pool, tons of board games for game nights and a great family room to watch movies together!
{That could be you to the right!!}

What to Do in the Keys
We did cook tons of meals in the house (because had more than you could ever need to cook with! so so so good!) but went out for a few as well as for some shopping and exploring the neighboring towns. Islamorada is only a 15 minute drive away and has so many great little spots.
YOGA: We did an outdoor yoga class with @yogawithlaceydevin and it was so beautiful. She also will come to The Layton Estate and do a private yoga class for you. Can you imagine how amazing that would be!?!
SHOPPING: We definitely did some damage while in Islamorada lol Here’s some of our favorite spots we went to…. SWAY, Miss Monroe, Amber Waves
FOOD: Square Grouper, Pierre’s, Ziggie & Mad Dog’s
